Back to Revealing the Star You Truly Are! “Design Your Own Path To Fitness at Any Age”

There are many “plans” to get fit – however, not all take into account that we’re all individuals. Granted, there are needs and ways of meeting them that we can “group” together. However while here may be some people here and some people there with exactly the same bodies and physical characteristics, it helps to think of yourself as an individual and learn what suits you best.  I’m not a doctor or a nutritionist, however I’ve learned how to check out the possibilities for me and then I discovered a way that helped me stick to my choices. Best of all, I’ve found a way to help others design their own way to stick to their best choices. It’s the old “dirty word” “habits”. I certainly didn’t invent the idea.  I quote Aristotle on page 20 of my book “Find Your mini-Qs(?): Reveal the Slim, Strong, Sexy Star You Truly Are! at Age 50, 60, 70, and Beyond.”

One choice I found helped me a lot was checking out my blood type. It’s a good idea to take your blood type into account when you decide what to eat and what exercises to participate in. I’m sure most of you have heard of Dr. Peter D’Adamo and his book about eating to suit your blood type. I have to say he helped me a lot.  It sounded like pure rubbish to me until, Barbara Van Diest, a wonderful woman I worked with, convinced me to read the book and that led me to visit him.

What I’m getting at is that you need to design your own “plan”.  What I add when I talk about designing your own plan is a way to be able to stick with your plan and, even, have FUN doing it.

That’s where the term mini-Q helped me. It “came upon me”, as they say. It made me giggle and giggle. If I’ve written about this in early blog posts it’s worth repeating.

As I’ve mentioned, I’m writing a new edition of my book.  I had to update it because I needed to update the title to fit the needs of today’s marketing. In the few years since the book was published a phenomenon occurred in the book industry. Instead of going to bookstores most people are now ordering books online instead of going to bookstores.  Many major bookstores have since closed.  Some people know the book they’re looking for when they look online; but many don’t. They go online as if they were walking down the aisle in a Borders Book Shop. (Remember Borders?) They know they want to read about a certain topic but they don’t have a particular book in mind. When people type what they’re looking for in the “search bar” they’ll use the simplest way to say the issue. They won’t look for “mini-Qs” – they’ll put “lose weight” into the bar.

We have to “Dumb Down” titles of books these days – AND – it’s okay. Technology is progressing and there are bound to be some rough spots along the way.

You can get my book on my website under author. When you get the book you’ll get a gift bookmark allowing you to keep downloading the “work pages” of the book so you can keep revising.

I’ll work it out so you’ll get a discount for the new book when it comes out, if you’ve bought the first book.

By the way – I first mentioned my birthday in my blog in May 2010. It’s hard to believe I’ve been writing the blog for five years!  I want you to be able to feel as young (ie, well) as I do on my birthday today. I’m in my early 70s and feel better and have a tighter, slimmer body now than I did in my 50s.  I don’t think it’s about age numbers, but rather how you feel and how you see your life that counts.

I’m not saying this to sound like a “Goody Goody” – I see YOU as FABULOUS and I want you to see yourself that way too. You’re fabulous in a wheel chair or on skis or on stage or in a leg brace. When you’re at YOUR OPTIMUM – it’s good!
